Dear Friend,

Raising Your Awareness about Narcotics was established in loving memory of Ryan Kelder, who died of a heroin overdose on August 22, 2015. It is our mission to bring awareness to an epidemic that is destroying a generation, to end the stigma of addiction, and inspire hope in those families struggling with this horrible disease.

We would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support. Through collaboration with various organizations and your generous donations, we have been able to host several community events surrounding the prevention of addiction. These include The Ulster County Youth Rally and impact speakers including Chris Herren, Tony Hoffman, and Darryl Strawberry.

Additionally, R.Y.A.N.’s team members have connected individuals and families with service providers andvarious resources getting them the support needed to recover.

This year we have continued to renovate The RYAN HOUSE. We’ve installed flooring on the first floor, painted, replaced windows, done trim work, and installed new staircases to the second and third floors. Our most impressive improvement to the property is our 2000 square foot post and beam pavilion with a gorgeous stone fireplace, a beautiful place to host outdoor support meetings and events.

To continue to meet the needs of our community, we need your help. R.Y.A.N. hosts three major events each year.

    1. The Fourth Annual Raising Your Awareness about Narcotics Drive Fore Recovery Golf Tournament. To be held on Monday, July 15th, 2024 at Wiltwyck Golf Club.
    2. The Fourth Annual Raising Your Awareness about Narcotics Ulster County Youth Rally. Tentatively to be held in the Fall of 2024 at Ulster County Community College. R.Y.A.N. will host the 9th grade students of each of the nine school districts in Ulster County to an event promoting drug
prevention. Each student walks away with a goody bag filled with information about community resources and R.Y.A.N. swag!
    3. The Tenth Annual Raising Your Awareness about Narcotics 5K Run/Walk. This will be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 at Loughran Park. This is our original and largest fundraiser.

Enclosed please find information about how you can sponsor these events. Your sponsorship will help us continue our work in the community. Let’s end the stigma and raise awareness of the disease of addiction.

Gratefully,

The Kelder Family
& Team R.Y.A.N.
